Since 1931, °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Êapp has provided its students with exceptional learning experiences in a global context. Four-College Model

°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Êapp's academic structure – the Four-College Model – has helped the University retain its small-school ambience despite rapid growth. Each college is headed by a dean who reports to theÌýprovost and vice president for academic affairs. The four colleges are:

• College of Arts and Letters

• Sykes College of Business

• College of Natural and Health Sciences

• College of Social Sciences, Mathematics and Education

The Four-College Model allows each academic area to have a greater sense of identity and gives students and faculty an academic home to support their experience of scholarly community. The model also increases transparency, decreases red tape, fosters stronger connections with the external community and aids in the creation of new and innovative programs.

Interdisciplinary Programs

In addition to the four colleges, °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Êapp has four major interdisciplinary areas that draw students, faculty and resources from across the colleges and curriculum:

• Graduate and Continuing StudiesÌýcoordinates all-university programs for adult and part-time learners.
• Spartan StudiesÌýsupports the general education program that is the liberal arts core required of all undergraduate students not participating in the Honors Program.
• International ProgramsÌýoversees study abroad programs, international majors and certificates, and international student services.
• Honors ProgramÌýoffers an innovative curriculum, a close-knit community and undergraduate research experiences for high-achieving °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Êapp students.

Academic Services

Working out of theÌýProvost’s Office, the associate provost and dean of academic services implements the University’s academic standards and requirements for all students (including policies and processes related to academic integrity and academic appeals) and oversees the following areas:

Celebrated scholars, teachers and authors from around the globe fill °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Êapp’s distinguished faculty (90 percent have a Ph.D. or the highest degree in their field). Whether they teach primarilyÌýgraduate coursesÌýor travel abroad to present their research, °ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Êapp professors always keep their students at the center of their work and aim to educate the whole person.
